The City of Monrovia Art in Public Places Committee is a five member body and is comprised of separate representatives from the Monrovia City Council, Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, the Community Services Commission, and a Member at large.
Pursuant to the Art in Public Places Ordinance, the Committee's role is advisory to the City Council, however, the Committee is authorized to approve the design and expenditures for smaller public art projects not over $5,000. The Committee is subject to the requirements of the Brown Act.
It is the responsibility of the Committee to establish their regular date, time and location of their regular meetings through the adoption of a resolution.
- Regular Meetings are held quarterly on the third Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the months of Jan, Mar, Jul, and Oct.
- All other meetings are Special Meetings
