Please be advised that a significant wind event is impacting our city. City staff actively working to address the situation and will provide timely updates via the City's official social media channels and website. As a result, mass power outages are affecting traffic, intersections, homes and businesses. 

We urge all residents to exercise caution during this wind event: 

• Treat any darkened intersections as 4-way stop. 
• Be alert for fallen debris or downed power lines and stay clear. 
• Stay indoors whenever possible to avoid potential hazards.
• Metro crossing arms are currently not functioning so please approach and proceed with caution.

Please do not contact 9-1-1 or Monrovia Police Dispatch for wind event updates.
