City Manager's Update | April 3, 2026
Good morning, Monrovians!
April is here and we're all gearing up for quite an eventful month! This weekend, we're kicking things off by hosting our annual Spring Egg Hunt tomorrow, Saturday, April 4, at Recreation Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m., with egg hunts organized by age group and beginning at various times throughout the morning. To view the list of each age group's egg hunt time slot, please visit our website. We've got plenty of eggs to go around, so round up your family and friends, bring a few baskets and come ready for a great time!
The fun continues next Saturday, April 11, as Old Town will come alive for the annual Old Town Wine Walk! Hosted by the Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board and the Old Town merchant community, Wine Walk will run from 6 to 9 p.m., with check-in beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Library Park. Guests will receive a tasting glass, a map of participating businesses, and tickets for 12 wine tastings as they make their way through Monrovia's Old Town! Advance tickets are still available for $50 online and in-person at the Monrovia Community Center and Charlie's House (430 S. Myrtle Ave). Tickets do sell out, so grabbing them ahead of time is the way to go! As a reminder, Wine Walk is for guests 21 and over; and age verification is required at check-in.
Lastly, I'm pleased to announce we'll soon be sharing details on an upcoming fundraising campaign to support the Monrovia bear cubs during their care at San Diego Humane Society's Ramona Wildlife Center. Stay tuned for more information next week!
I hope you all have a great and safe Easter weekend!
Sincerely,
Dylan
