New Water Shut-Off Procedures

In accordance with SB 998 (Water Shutoff Protection Act), the City has adopted a Water Shut-Off Policy that describes procedures for water service shut-off due to non-payment.

Pursuant to the City’s Water Shut-Off Policy, the City has a program that can provide alternative payment options. To qualify for these arrangements, you must provide proof of certain health and financial conditions prior to the shut-off date. If you do not qualify under these conditions, please contact the City to discuss other payment options. In addition, the City offers a bill review process to utility customers, provided that the request be submitted to the City prior to the shut-off date.

To discuss any of the options described above, please call our City Offices at 626-932-5517 or visit City Hall at 415 S. Ivy Ave, Monrovia, CA, 91016.

To learn more about the City’s Water Shut-Off Policy, please find a copy of the full Policy below in English, Spanish, Chinese (Traditional), Tagalog, Korean and Vietnamese.
