Public Records

The OnBase information management system provides access to City documents that have been scanned and stored for access and preservation.  If you are looking for building permit history for a property, you may find quick access to documents by clicking on the following link: OnBase Document Portal.  

 

Submitting a Public Records Request

Requests to review / receive copies of records that are not available in the City's optical imaging system may be requested by submitting a Public Records Request using the City's online Public Records Request Program or visiting the City Clerk's Office.

 

 

Please contact the City Clerk's Office at 626.932.5550 or by email at cityclerk@monroviaca.gov with questions or for assistance in completing the online Public Records Request form.

 

If requesting building/property records, please be sure to include the address and street name.

If requesting Police Department records, please be sure to include the specific incident/report number(s), or if none is available, incident date, name(s), date of birth, and any other identifying information that will help our search.

Effective July 17, 2025, all requests for copies of a vehicle accident report will be processed pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 20012 and shall be accompanied by payment of applicable fees as set forth in the City’s current approved Schedule of Fees. A person who may have a proper interest to a request a report includes, but is not limited to, drivers involved, their parents if minors, authorized representatives, injured parties, vehicle/property owners, and attorneys representing any of the above.
