Comics Plus @ Monrovia Public Library

Monrovia Public Library is proud to announce our new subscription to Comics Plus! Readers have access to thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga from a variety of publishers. Every title is available 24/7 on a computer, tablet, or phone – no holds or wait lists required! New content is added every Wednesday, a mix of new releases and backlist titles! Make sure to check out the new arrivals!  

There are three age categories: children, teens, and adults (full collection). Visit one of the URLs below to access the three collections.

All you need is your library card number and PIN (your 10-digit phone number with no spaces). You can also download an app from the App Store or Google Play to access the Comics Plus collection! Once you’ve downloaded the app, search for Monrovia Public Library.

 Self-Serve Library Book Locker at Recreation Park 

Thanks to a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the library now offers a self-serve book locker that you can use to pick up items you reserved from the library. All you need is a library card. The book locker is located in front of the Mary Wilcox Youth Center (843 E. Olive Ave) at Recreation Park.

How it works:

• visit the library catalog at monrovia.biblionix.com and login with your library card number and PIN (your 10-digit phone number on file)
• go to "My Account - Notifications" and choose "Book Locker" as your preferred pickup location 
• search for the item you would like to reserve and place your hold 
• you'll receive a notice from the library when it's ready for you 
• using your library card and your PIN, pick up your item at the book locker

Friends of the Library Book Store: Open Monday, 3pm-5pm & Tuesday-Saturday, 12pm-3pm

The Friends of the Monrovia Public Library have a book store just inside the library entrance that offers a variety of gently used books and DVDs for purchase, with all funds going to support programs and collections at the library. Cook books, books for children, mysteries, bestsellers, and more can be found for bargain prices. Stop by and find your next favorite read.
