Project Overview

The City of Monrovia is developing a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) and updating its 2018 Bicycle Master Plan to enhance roadway safety, connectivity, and accessibility for all users. The CSAP was created in alignment with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program.

The CSAP aims to reduce serious injuries and fatalities by identifying data-driven strategies that improve conditions for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, public transit riders, and commercial operators.

The Bicycle Master Plan Update will build upon the City’s existing cycling infrastructure by assessing progress since 2018, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements to create a safer and more connected network for riders of all ages and abilities.

Both efforts will incorporate best practices, stakeholder input, equity considerations, and environmental factors to ensure a safer, more accessible transportation system for the Monrovia community.

How You Can Get Involved

Public Participation is key to the success of both plans. We encourage residents, commuters, and business owners to share their experiences, challenges, and ideas for making Monrovia’s streets safer and more bike-friendly.

From late April to September 30, 2025, we collected feedback through a community survey. While the survey is now closed, you can still participate by attending an upcoming community meeting!

Our next meeting will take place on Monday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room (321 S Myrtle Ave).

Note: The City may be required to disclose certain information you provide as part of your feedback regarding the Safe Streets and Bike Master Plan of the City.

Stay tuned for upcoming public meetings, surveys, and engagement opportunities!
