Additional Considerations When Using the GoMonrovia Lyft Pass

Always make sure to...
  • Enter the “GOMONROVIA” Lyft Pass code before requesting a ride. Once you’ve begun a ride, you won’t be able to add a new Lyft Pass until after the ride is complete. The Lyft pass will only apply to rides requested after adding the Lyft Pass.
  • Verify that your pick up and drop off locations are within the GoMonrovia service area. See the “Service Area” section above for more information.
  • Double check the cost of your trip to ensure you receive the discount. Discounted trips will have the original price crossed out with the new, discounted price displayed instead. If you do not see the discount, you will not receive the discount.
  • When you request a ride on Lyft, be ready outside and stand in a visible location at the curb.
  • Double-check that the Lyft car’s license plate number matches your driver’s information shown on the app before entering the vehicle.
The GoMonrovia Lyft Pass...
  • Renews automatically on a monthly basis. Do not be alarmed if you receive a notification about your “expiring” Lyft pass. The pass will reload on the first of each month.
  • Applies to “Standard” and “Wait & Save” rides only. You will not receive a discount for any premium services or rides.
  • Does not apply to rides that have a changed destination mid-ride or are outside the service area. Passengers will be responsible for the full fare if either of these situations occur.
If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle...
  • Go to the Lyft app settings and toggle on “Wheelchair access”; OR
  • View the "Monrovia Transit" section to learn more the City's transportation option for seniors (62+) and individuals with disabilities. Monrovia Transit vehicles are available on the Lyft app to approved riders only.
