Connect and Sightsee with Us!
We are made to explore, connect, experience new places, and create new core memories! Join us with friends and family members, or meet new friends during our quarter of adventure! Leave the driving, trip planning, and logistics to us. Trips are open to anyone 18 and up unless noted. Preregistration must be made in advance at the Community Center, online or via phone. Departures for all excursions are from the Monrovia Community Center, unless otherwise noted. Our excursions require a minimum of 15 participants or are subject to cancellation. Please note that there are no refunds. For additional information, please contact the Monrovia Community Center at (626) 256-8246. Trips Scholarships are supported by Measure K, the Keep Monrovia Revenues Local Sales Tax Measure. Measure K funds are put towards projects that align with the Monrovia City Council's goals of Financial Management, Infrastructure, Customer Service, and Relationships.
Convenience Fee for Credit Card Payments
The City of Monrovia will begin applying a 3.1% Third-Party Payment Processor fee for all credit card payments. This fee helps to cover the cost of providing this payment option, which the City has previously absorbed on behalf of customers. The Third-Party Payment Processor fee is equal to the actual amount charged by credit card processors used by the City.
Customers will continue to have access to no-fee payment options, including paying by cash or check.
Unique Journeys Scholarship Application
The City of Monrovia invites everyone to explore, connect, and experience new places while creating lasting memories with us! To help achieve this goal, we have established a Scholarship Program supported by Measure K, the Keep Monrovia Revenues Local Sales Tax Measure. The Scholarship Program is designed to eliminate financial barriers that may prevent individuals from joining us on group trips for sightseeing and connection. This scholarship is available to adults aged 50 and older who reside in the City of Monrovia or Unincorporated Monrovia, or who are members of the New Horizons Club or the Gad-a-Bouts Club. Each eligible individual can receive up to $250 per year to cover trip costs throughout the year. The Unique Journeys Scholarship Application can be found below.
